UCUSC Girls Training Session and Try Outs – RESCHEDULED for Tuesday, 11/25

Due to Weather and Forecast, we are postponing Monday’s Training until Tuesday, 11/25.

On Tuesday, November 25 from 6:00-8:00 pm, UCUSC is holding an initial training for all girls that previously tried out and were selected for one of our select teams in June.   We encourage all of you who tried out to attend, as it will allow us the opportunity to align each of you to your teams and meet coaches.

Additionally, at this time there will also be an opportunity for any female (ages 12-18) who was unable to make one of the earlier tryout dates or would like a second opportunity to try out for a position on one of the select teams.  If you (or anyone you know of) would be interested in the opportunity to try out, we would ask that at you make plans to arrive at the UCUSC Sports Complex at 5:45 pm to allow time for you to complete the necessary paperwork for tryouts.

Location:  The UCUSC Fields located at 497 Whiteaker Springs Road, Cookeville TN

How to get there: http://uppercumberlandsoccer.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/complex_directions.pdf

Any questions regarding the training date and/or tryouts can be directed to Corey Boyd at coreyb.boyd@gmail.com or (931) 261-0492.

We look forward to seeing each of you there and formally beginning the season!

UCUSC Academy for Fall 2014

2014 Academy Fall Session

UCUSC is pleased to announce its Fall Academy training!  UCUSC will be holding a Player Development Academy designed to help a player learn the basic fundamentals in terms of individual skills to continue progressing to further levels of soccer.  It is a great intermediate step when planning to go from Recreation play to Competitive (Travel) play.

A player can continue playing in the Recreational league while training in the Academy to develop more skills.

Who?     Any players age 8-12

What?  UCUSC’s Academy Program is designed to improve and develop the overall skill and technique of the individual player. Academy sessions can be used as the perfect building block between playing for fun and playing competitively for a travel or middle/high school team.

When?   Monday from 5:45pm -7:15pm on Field 5 – U12

Where?  Sessions will take place at the Upper Cumberland Soccer Complex.

Why?  UCUSC’s Academy training program is a great way for your child to learn skills, gain knowledge, and begin playing at a higher level. Cost is only $10 per session and each session usually lasts 75-90 minutes.

Field Information Hotline Updates

The field information hotline (931-526-6941) has been setup to give you another way of knowing if fields are open or closed for practices and games. We will also try to post the information on our web site.

The line will be updated by 1:00pm CST with either a “fields are OPEN” or a “fields are CLOSED” message. It will only be updated when their is a change in status, not every day.

This has been a very rainy season so far and we are doing our best to get information to all of our club members about field closures and game cancellations. Thank you for you patience and working with us through this rainy time.

CHECK IT NOW… look at the Field Status & Game Updates to the right for the latest information.
